"Waiter, there's a flower in my cheese"

Normally, those aren't words you'd necessarily want to hear or say, but flowers in your cheese are the whole point of a new product released by Waitrose.

They've launched an Alp Blossom cheese, adorned in a special wrapping made from edible alpine flowers.

The cheese is produced in the  alpine meadows in Germany, with cows’ milk from two Brown Swiss herds.

It’s wrapped in organic edible flowers from the alpine meadows including dried cornflowers, rose petals, calendula, lavender and herbs, making it look as though it’s been sprinkled with pretty confetti.

Find out more about the floral cheese here.
