Royal FloraHolland:

What packaging prices will change as of 4 January 2021?

Packaging prices may change twice a year. Price changes usually take effect on the first Monday of January and the first Monday of July. As of Monday 4 January 2021, various packaging materials will change in price.

A number of other changes will be implemented too, including the rental structure of the multiple-use flower buckets and racks; and we are introducing extra transfer codes. All the changes can be found in the Code and Price List and in the Price Changes Overview.

Rental structure adjustment multiple-use flower buckets and racks
After previous rental-structure adjustments applicable to Fc566 and Fc596, we are now also adjusting the rental structure applicable to our other flower buckets and racks as of 4 January 2021. Upon issue, we charge twice the rental amount and reimburse one rental payment to the supplier when supplying through Royal FloraHolland. Due to the tulip season, the change will apply as of 5 July 2021 for FC533, Fc560 and Fc580. Nothing changes for customers. For more information, click here.

Less reward for transfer codes
We are decreasing the reward for using several transfer codes by one or two euro cents. The price for the buyer remains the same. This applies to both the transfer codes for single-use packaging (800 series) and the combinations of a multiple-use packaging with a single-use component. The changes have been included in the price changes overview. By doing so, we are bringing the contribution for the transfer codes more in line with the contribution for the standardised packaging.

Adjustment to price model single-use flower cartons
Changes to the price model of single-use flower cartons will take effect on 4 January 2021. The issue price is being decreased by 4 cents. The offset price when supplying will decrease as of 15 February 2021, and will be the same as the decreased issue price. Suppliers who order through

Royal FloraHolland will thus still be fully compensated when using this flower carton. We will not be adjusting the offset price for the buyer. For more information, click here.

Rental rate increase deposit shelves
The rental rate for the issue of the deposit shelf (Fc795) is being increased to €0.30 as of 4 January 2021. This increase is intended to bring the costs and revenues of deposit shelves into closer alignment.

Hanging rack rental rate
For the use of hanging racks (Fc986), a rental rate of €0.30 will be charged upon issue as of 4 January 2021.

Extra transfer codes for cardboard plant trays
The use of cardboard plant trays is increasing. This means there is greater market demand for transfer codes for solid and corrugated cardboard plant trays. We are therefore introducing eight new transfer codes. We are introducing the extra transfer codes to support and stimulate the use of more sustainable packaging. Click here for the whole news item.
