Amevo presents sustainable lightweight BJA binding pliers

With the new BJA TB-SI blue binding pliers, Amevo presents a lightweight set of pliers. At just 421 grams it's a real lightweight, yet extremely durable.

Espen Zecha, sales representative at Amevo, is very proud of this expansion to the well-known BJA programme. "BJA has been a guarantee for high quality for years, and these blue pliers are the next step in that. Made from sustainable aluminium, plastic and steel, this one is 25% lighter than its well-known purple counterpart."

Due to smart use of materials, the pliers are light as a feather. The weight of 421 grams even includes all kinds of extras like a spare knife, two spare springs and a convenient steel pin, to remove staples that got stuck.

Besides that, the tape holder has been reinforced with hinges. BJA binding pliers are known for their light operation. The BJA TB-SI is no exception, it requires very little squeezing power. It has a built-in stopper too, to stop you from squeezing too hard, which would flatten the staple before you've secured the bind to the plant.

Espen Zecha: "The production just started, and we expect to be able to supply the pliers in the beginning of spring. It had a long development trajectory, because BJA had some durability issues which competing pliers turned out to have with new, light materials. Furthermore, the new pliers have been extensively tested by BJA, and improved where needed. We are looking forward to these lightweight and durable new blue BJA pliers!"
