Royal FloraHolland:

"Continued roll-out Fc588 starts on 11 January 2021"

5 additional product groups will start using Fc588 (and Fc598) on Monday 11 January 2021. This applies to both clock and direct trade. As a result, starting early 2021 even more growers will take advantage off the benefits of the efficient flower bucket Fc588. With this flower bucket, we are responding to the increasing use of CC containers in the export trade, working on further sustainability and ensuring a reduction in chain costs.

After the introduction of the efficient, multiple-use flower bucket Fc588 with support shelf (Fc598) in the spring of 2019, 45 product groups now already enjoy the benefits of this packaging. By now, more than 20 million rotations have taken place!

Release for 25 new product groups
From Monday 11 January 2021, growers of the cut flowers below can also supply (both Clock and Direct trade) in Fc588 and/or Fc598 buckets:

Release Fc588/Fc598 starts Monday 4 January 2021
For the suppliers of these 25 extra product groups the Fc588 and Fc598 will be available starting from Monday 4 January 2021. The  regulated distribution will take place from our packaging locations in  Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk, Rijnsburg and Eelde, and at Veiling Rhein-Maas  and Plantion.

This is how we can use old flower buckets to make new ones Flower buckets we reject or no longer need are recycled and used to manufacture new buckets such as the Fc588. That way, the old buckets return as new buckets and we collectively contribute to circularity.
