Registration for participation is only possible in the month of April

NL: Plantarium 2021 is scheduled to take place from 1 to 3 September

The preparations for Plantarium 2021 are currently underway. The pandemic is causing a lot of uncertainty, which means that the decision on whether or not to open the physical location of the fair in September will be made at the end of March. This will be based on current developments surrounding the coronavirus pandemic and decisions will be made at a later date than in previous years. As a result, registration will only be possible in the month of April; no earlier and no later.

This way, participants and visitors will be able to have some certainty about whether or not the fair will actually be taking place. As usual the fair will take place at our very own Plantarium Building, but in a new and improved format. This year, Plantarium has opted for an independent fair. After all, the pandemic requires a high level of flexibility and self-reliance. One important advantage is that most participants have indicated a preference for the month of September rather than a fair during the summer holidays in August.

Beewan is the organizer and executive producer of Plantarium 2021. The participation fees are equal to those of the 2019 edition, keeping the fair accessible and familiar for participants. The layout of the exhibition hall will be decided in the month of May based on the registrations received.

As in 2020, the theme of the fair is ‘Greenspiration’. This theme already exceeded expectations in 2020; the digital platform is very popular among more than 15,000 visitors from 73 countries. Advertisers and sponsors can register until the end of April, based on which the theme for 2021 will be further fleshed out.

Last year a virtual fair was the only option available, which unfortunately meant that interaction between participants and visitors was severely limited. For this year’s fair we have opted for a hybrid version: a physical fair with an online platform, pandemic measures as per March 2021 permitting.

Another recurring event is the KVBC Spring Challenge which was introduced in 2020 and will again take place in the month of June. The set-up will be the same, meaning the event will be held entirely online and the award ceremony will take place in a closed session.
