Greenhouse IPM 101 workshop moving to Zoom

As we are still mid-pandemic, Eco Habitat’s annual hands-on IPM Workshop will look a bit different this year!. Still a go-to resource for learning IPM basics, with the help of OMAFRA staff, it’s moving to Zoom.

Keep reading for the topics they will be covering, and how to register.

Who it’s for:
Do you have new staff starting who need to learn the basics of pest identification, biocontrol and other IPM techniques stat? Then send them our way! Our one day seminar will walk them through:

  • The most commonly employed IPM techniques, like sanitation, mass trapping and cultural controls
  • Identifying common (and not so common!) insect pests in floriculture crops
  • The ABC’s of Biocontrol, including common natural enemies for each pest, release strategies, and more.

They’ll also be providing tips, tricks, tools and resources based on our combined 50+ years of experience in IPM in greenhouse floriculture, so this workshop is also appropriate for novice IPM practitioners and employees who want to brush up on their knowledge. In this informal setting, they’re also hoping to provide answers to your pressing pest-management problems.

Where to watch:
To interact with them live on Tuesday, March the 2nd, you’ll have to pre-register for the Zoom event using this link.

Registered, but can’t make it that day, after all? No worries! The seminar video will be made available on-demand to those that registered before the workshop date.

However, participation the day-of is encouraged, as that’s the best way to get YOUR questions answered!
