UPOV adds new members.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines accedes to the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines deposited its instrument of accession to the UPOV Convention1 on February 22, 2021, and will become the seventy-seventh member of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) on March 22, 2021.

UPOV is an intergovernmental organization based in Geneva. The purpose of UPOV is to provide and promote an effective system of plant variety protection, with the aim of encouraging the development of new varieties of plants, for the benefit of society.
