US: Weston Nurseries acquires Capeway Wholesale Nursery

Weston Nurseries has announced today that it has acquired Capeway Wholesale Nursery in Middleborough, MA. The sale closed on February 10, 2021.

“We are very excited about the acquisition of Capeway Wholesale Nursery. We believe the addition of this site in Middleborough will benefit the landscape community in eastern Massachusetts with the ability to provide a greater depth and variety of plants and related landscape materials. We look forward to working with Joe and John to get to know many of the customers that they have served so well over the years,” said peter Mezitt, President of Weston Nurseries. “Our main focus is to work with them to make this transition a favorable one that will further meet the needs of the current customers and other landscape professionals in the area.”

“This is going to be different but its also going to be good for our customers," said Joe Akstin, owner of Capeway Wholesale Nursery. “Weston is going to bring in so many new ideas and will improve on the already solid foundation we have built here over the years. There is no one we would rather sell our family business to than Peter Mezitt of Weston Nurseries. He runs a well-respected family-owned and operated business and that’s what we wanted for Capeway’s Legacy.”
