US: Growing tulips at Holland Ridge Farms

Many know Holland Ridge Farms for the u-pick flower seasons – tulips in the spring and sunflowers in the fall. What you might now know is that Holland Ridge Farms was born from their parent company Holland Greenhouses Inc. This wholesale growing business was started by the founder, Casey Jansen Sr when he was just 17 years old. Casey came to the United States from Holland with nothing but his growing experience and a dream to spread his passion for tulips. Today, Holland Greenhouses grows and ships millions of tulips and other flower varieties to supermarkets up and down the East Coast.

"After we saw how much people loved receiving our tulips last spring, our heads were already spinning to think of ways to offer you tulips whenever we can. There aren’t many greenhouses in the country that grow tulips domestically in the fall and winter, but we are one of them! Our tulips are grown in our greenhouse opposite the farm in Upper Freehold and our original location in Monroe. Since we grow right here in New Jersey, that means you get your tulips quicker, in the freshest condition possible," they say.
