AU: New minor use permits for fungicide and pesticide available

Three Minor Use Permits have been approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) for the nursery industry.

Through the newly contracted, ‘‘National Biosecurity and Sustainable Plant Production Program" (NY20001), levy funds and additional contributions from the Australian Government were used to apply for and renew Minor Use Permits (MUP). This includes:

Botector fungicide for suppression of Botrytis and grey mould in nursery stock, cut flowers, foliage and ornamentals (PER87437): For the management, by suppression of Grey Mould on Nursery Stock (non-food) – seedlings, tubes & plugs, potted colour, trees & shrubs, foliage plants, palms & grasses, non-bearing fruiting plants, cut flowers, foliage & ornamentals.

Voliam targo insecticide for control or suppression of various pests in nursery stock (non-food) (PER88695): For the management and suppression of a number of foliage based plant pests in Nursery Stock (non-food) – seedlings, tubes & plugs, potted colour, trees & shrubs, foliage plants, palms & grasses, non-bearing fruiting plants, cut flowers, foliage & ornamentals.

Sero-X insecticide for control of Heliothis, Silverleaf whitefly and Green mirid in nursery stock (non-food), cut flowers and ornamentals (PER87445): For the management of Heliothis moth, Silverleaf white fly and Green Mirid on Nursery Stock (non-food) – seedlings, tubes & plugs, potted colour, trees & shrubs, foliage plants, palms & grasses, non-bearing fruiting plants, cut flowers, foliage & ornamentals.
