AgroFresh has launched GUSTEC SAG Ornamentals, a preservation solution for the Brazilian flower industry.
GUSTEC SAG Ornamentals is a protective adjuvant for non-edible ornamentals that forms a protective, invisible, odorless, and colorless film, extending the post-harvest life of flowers. The vegetable-based solution does not leave residue.
GUSTEC SAG Ornamentals has a synergistic effect with fungicides and provides enhanced rot control, according to AgroFresh testing. Flowers treated with both solutions had a lower incidence of fungi and, consequently, longer shelf life than flowers treated only with fungicides. In addition, there was better flower bud opening and petal retention, two important flower attributes that increases consumer satisfaction.
