Royal FloraHolland: Market review update

Royal FloraHolland keeps a close eye on developments surrounding the coronavirus in order to keep our (member) suppliers, buyers, employees and visitors to our locations safe and healthy. In these market updates, we inform you about the impact of coronavirus on the Dutch and international horticulture market.

Market developments 17 March 2021
Until Wednesday, the number of units sold on the auction this week is 6.6% lower than week 11 last year (cut flowers -5.6%; houseplants -18.7%; garden plants -29.9%). For direct, the number of units sold this week was 11.5% higher than last year. Pricing on the auction remains exceptionally good, as it was in previous weeks. On average, the middle price on the auction came to 38 cents. This is a mere 610% higher compared to the same week last year. The withdrawal this week averages 0.0%, as it did in recent weeks. This suggests that the withdrawal in 2021 will remain at a permanently low level.
