Pleasant View Gardens expands team with retail account manager

Pleasant View Gardens (PVG) is excited to announce the addition of Amy Cardello, Retail Account Manager, who will enhance service for its finished customers as the very busy Spring garden season begins. Cardello will be tasked with helping PVG customers make the most of its new programs designed to help customers succeed, like its ColorSmart perennials and shrubs program and the Proven Winners Connect+ program, an exclusive marketing service provided for IGCs.

“This is a position we had been evaluating for some time,” begins Andy Huntington, Pleasant View’s National Sales Manager. “We were really waiting for the perfect person to come along at the right time. And Amy is the person we think can really help ramp up our retail presence to new levels, further strengthening our ability to serve our retail customer base,” finishes Huntington.

With a concentration on building stronger relationships with PVGs retail customers, Cardello’s new position is also responsible for preselling crops, expanding key accounts, and performing on-site merchandising setup for retailers. Cardello will also conduct ongoing seminars and Proven Winners Certified Garden Center training and education for PVG retailers – which ties in well with her background within the education market. Prior to joining Pleasant View Gardens, Cardello served as Associate Director of Admission at The Pike School in Andover, Massachusetts, Admission Associate at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, and Assistant Director of Admission at St. Timothy’s School in Stevenson, Maryland.

Cardello earned her BA in history from Trinity College, in Hartford, Connecticut, and is currently pursuing her Landscape Design certificate through coursework at North Shore Community College.
