Impression of Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai

After a busy start on Wednesday, the Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2021 is heading towards the end of the second day of this 3-day event at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. 700 exhibitors from 18 countries are promoting their products and services and this year, there are two country pavilions, a Dutch and a German one. Meteor Systems is one of the companies exhibiting at the Dutch pavilion and tells us more about their attendance this year and their activities in China.

Also in this article, an impression of the exhibition with the many pictures posted on social media and it seems that everyone is very pleased to be present on an in-person event again.

Meteor Systems is one of the growing system manufacturers with the largest market share in China. Their products include Growing gutters, irrigation systems, hydroponic systems, and fruit greenhouses. In China, Meteor Systems has their own sales office and production facility to serve Chinese customers. So far, their projects have been rolled out all across the country.

Junyi Xu talking with visitors.

They are exhibiting at this fair for the third year in a row and also this year, they are pleased with the attendance. "At the exhibition, we are enthusiastically received by the Chinese public, which makes it so attractive and fun for us to come back every year," says Junyi Xu, account manager for the Chinese branch of Meteor Systems, who is present at their booth (W2A249).

"The first day of the exhibition is already behind us and was very well attended," says Junyi Xu. At the booth, visitors can see Meteor Systems cultivation solutions for strawberries, leafy vegetables, and cut roses.

"Cut rose is one of the flowers with the largest cultivation area and market share among cut flowers in China. With the gradual expansion of the purchasing power of the middle class, the market demand for high-quality roses has gradually increased. More Chinese rose growers have switched from soil cultivation to substrate cultivation in their cultivation system. Unlike the traditional soil cultivation method, the substrate rose can better control the water and fertilizers and increase the yield. Meteor Systems offers several innovative possibilities for rose cultivation and will show a complete substrate-free cultivation system. From knowledge to technology."

An impression of the 23rd edition
The Hortiflorexpo IPM is being held every year in Beijing and Shanghai alternately. So, last year's edition of the Shanghai show was held in 2019 and the Beijing edition in 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation. Sponsored by the China Flower Association, the "23rd China International Flower and Horticulture Exhibition" (Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2021) is currently taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, co-organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. and Great Wall International Exhibition Co., Ltd.

On Wednesday, we've already published several pictures to get an impression of the fair, but on social media, more pictures have been shared, see below.
