On the 23rd, in the multi-span greenhouse of Kangpei Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park, Flower Industrial Park in Taiyuan City, workers were busy on the flower planting assembly line.
"Our production line can sow 200,000 plants per hour. These flower seeds will germinate after ten more days, and then after transplanting and careful cultivation, 3 months later, these colorful and beautiful flowers will be placed in various shapes such as flower beds and flower borders, and they will be dressed up in major parks and scenic spots and city streets," Mr. Cao Wenyuan, head of the Kangpei Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park, said.
It is understood that as the largest grass and perennial flower cultivation base in Taiyuan, Kangpei Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park relies on the flower planting technology of the Beijing Academy of Landscape Science, introduces automated flower planting lines, sprinkler irrigation systems, and foreign high-quality flower seeds. More than 20 million pots of various high-quality grass flowers and perennial flowers can be produced every year.
This year, on the basis of planting more than 40 varieties such as impatiens, Begonia cucullate, Salvia splendens, petunia, French marigold, and Dianthus chinensis, the park also introduced more than 10 varieties, including peony, calendula, and geranium, mainly used in the local botanical garden, park, and other urban roads for landscape greening.
