China: "We strive to build a first-class flower production demonstration park"

In recent years, Jiangchuan District, Yuxi City, Yunnan has adhered to the concept of green development and focused on the development of the flower industry as an advantageous industry. Currently, two projects are under construction in the Asia Flower Science and Technology Innovation Valley in Jiuxi Town. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of June this year and they strive to build a first-class flower production demonstration park.

The planned area of ​​the Asia Flower Science and Technology Innovation Valley Project is 319 hectares, of which the first phase is the core area which covers an area of​​ over 68 hectares; the second phase of industrial development land is over 250 hectares. In the core area, projects such as the National Ornamental Horticultural Engineering Technology Research Center and the Flower and Horticultural Plant Germplasm In Vitro Preservation Center of the Flower Research Institute have been built, and the first batch of national horticultural maker-spaces in China has been built where 19,534 square meters of high-end greenhouses and 3,200 square meters of the intelligent tissue training factory have been built, with an investment of 59.4 million RMB and an annual output value of 62 million RMB in 2020.

The construction projects of the core area of ​​the Science and Technology Valley mainly focus on scientific research and innovation, breeding and seedling cultivation, and flower planting. The infrastructure construction of the park is underway. It is estimated that by 2030, an international flower breeding center, a regional center for flower industry innovation and development, a flower industry talent training base, a flower brand product trading platform, and an important flower production base in Southeast Asia and South Asia will be built. The total area of the project is more than 60 hectares, and the Flower Research Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences has built more than 15 hectares. The initial approved investment of the first phase of the project was 10.790.99 million RMB, of which the construction cost was 59.619 million RMB. 70% of the main project has been completed and it is expected to be fully completed by the end of June.

As another project of Asia Flower Science and Technology Valley, the Phalaenopsis tissue culture project of Yunnan Lvjulong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is also progressing in an orderly manner. The project has a total investment of 72.4 million RMB and covers an area of ​​13 hectares. The interior decoration is expected by the end of July. The project is completed and production will start in August. The total output value is expected to reach about 35 million RMB.
