China Qingzhou Flower Seedlings Trading Center occupies an area of 600,000 m2 and is the largest flower distribution center in the northern area of the Yangtze river, with almost 300 varieties sold throughout the year. At present, the annual transaction volume of Qingzhou flowers is about 11 billion RMB, and the annual sales of flowers only from this trading center are 6 to 7 billion RMB.
Qingzhou is one of the important phalaenopsis production bases in China. In 2018, the national output of phalaenopsis was about 60 million. Qingzhou alone produced about 6 million phalaenopsis, accounting for about 10% of the country. Affected by the epidemic this year, the flower industry in Qingzhou did not start well, but the locals actively guided merchants to sell through the Internet, such as e-commerce and achieved great results. In the past, due to scattered flower farmers and poor industry visibility, Qingzhou's flower industry faced a challenging situation of high-quality but low prices.
