HBA organizes a presentation of almost fifty hydrangea varieties, including a number of novelties such as Fay, Florencia, and Ice Boy. Also on display are HABA Pink and HABA Soft Pink, two new hydrangeas that have been developed for use in hanging baskets. Visitors are welcome from Wednesday, June 16th to Friday, June 18th at the HBA location at Achterweg 58a in De Kwakel.
The presentation gives a complete picture of the diverse breeding program of HBA. Both the blued and the non-blued versions of the varieties are shown. The hydrangeas were grown in pot size 13 at the HBA partners Heuger-Gartenbaubetriebe and Kötterheinrich.
A large part of the assortment on display was part of the shelf life test conducted by HBA in February and March of this year. Because consumers attach great importance to shelf life, it is an important criterium for HBA in the selection of new hydrangea varieties. The shelf life trial showed surprising results. We will be happy to give you more information during the presentation.
