Millions of peonies are growing wonderfully and soon all will be in bloom at the Green Works peony fields in Limburg, the Netherlands. The peony fields have been filmed from the air to give everyone a virtual view. The flowers in the fields of breeder GreenWorks' fields aren't for sale. They're used for plant material or rootstock. So, they're left to blossom.
Just like all other crops this year, the peonies took much longer to grow. The GreenWorks test field has no fewer than 400 different varieties. These flowers are only just starting to bloom.
