Internal logistics upgraded with > 1 km conveyor belt

Dutch nursery V&S has taken a new Stolze 3030 potting machine and conveyor belt system into use at its new 3.7 hectare location. With this flexible system, potting, planting and harvesting can be done faster and simultaneously. The system is designed in cooperation with the owner & grower Ronald Scholtes.

Along the front and back wall, fixed conveyor belts (or 395 meters of main belt) have been installed. In between are so-called coupling sections (630 meters of 'easymax conveyor belts') – a total of over a kilometer of conveyor belts, which makes several 'routes' possible and which can be used to turn out plants simultaneously as well as to turn out higher volumes.

All this is controlled from the central control cabinet, with a touch screen for setting the routes. Ronald Scholtes talks about the new system in a video.

The Stolze 3030 is equipped with 26 pot holder positions which can fill 7800 pots per hour. In the future a transplant robot can be connected.

The flexible system for potting, dispensing and delivery was installed by Martin Stolze with the aim of being able to carry out these activities simultaneously.
