Action group 'Scoring together with Royal FloraHolland' aims to maintain Rijnsburg auction

At the seven auction clocks of Royal FloraHolland Rijnsburg, a wonderful assortment of year-round and seasonal products is available to buy all year round. The logistics are well organised, as is the contact between growers, auction staff and traders. Many growers and trading companies, often historic family businesses, depend on the Rijnsburg auction. The chance that these companies will go under due to Royal FloraHolland's ambition to auction as much as possible nationally and after sales is considerable. The action group 'Scoring together with Royal FloraHolland' is therefore doing everything in its power to preserve 'their' auction.

The concern of the Rijnsburg supporters is shared by many companies who purchase from the other (export) locations of Royal FloraHolland. The opportunity to inspect products before they are auctioned ensures that they get value for money, particularly for niche products. Partly because of this, price setting has been stable for years. There is an option to buy by voice and certification is a possibility but not a requirement. This leaves room for both large and small buyers and growers.

Petition & manifest
The group 'Scoring together with Royal FloraHolland' wants to preserve this. They are supported in this by the Flora Futura Trade Association and the SLB Steering Committee. Together, they have started a petition and are organising a demonstration on July 3rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to preserve the local Rijnsburg auction. During the manifest, with a performance by Bart Heemskerk, the petition will be presented to the mayor of Katwijk and to Royal FloraHolland. The manifest will take place on Theo Mulder's site at Laan van Verhof 2 in Rijnsburg.

The action group 'Scoring together with Royal FloraHolland' is a group of growers and traders who are doing everything they can to keep Royal FloraHolland Rijnsburg in its current form.
