Processing orders is a party at Wooning Orchids. Codema's Android scanners make the packing process faster and clearer than ever. The Phalaenopsis nursery of 9 hectares located in Bleiswijk, The Netherlands, cannot do without a perfectly working order system. Clarity and speed are key conditions in a market in which more, smaller orders are the norm. Especially given the broad assortment that Wooning Orchids offers, it is important that everyone trusts the system.

Overview and speed
Out of the desire for overview and speed, Wooning Orchids started with the new Android scanners from Codema. While packing carts, the scanner scans the packing slip and passes on the load. The SDF Profice system therefore knows in real-time which orders are ready for transport and which orders are still being or need to be packed. This overview clearly shows what still needs to be done before the transport arrives. After scanning the packing slip, the auction letter automatically follows.
The scanner is in direct connection with the SDF Profice system, so that information comes across one-to-one and errors are kept to a minimum.
Following the process digitally
"The packing slip and scanner of Codema fit seamlessly into our packing process. It ensures that we can follow the process digitally," says Fred van Schie, dispatch employee. "At the same time, it is convenient. No one has to go to the computer to print an auction letter, because it follows automatically after scanning. As a result, we are able to continue packing one after the other."
Toos Helder
Software that supports
"Software is there to support business processes", says Toos Helder, back office employee. "Codema understands this well. The overview that shows what has been packed or what still needs to be packed helps me to act on time. When my colleague Fred scans a packing slip, I see this immediately in the SDF Profice system. This saves us time, less calls are necessary and we avoid errors. That gives us the speed and reliability we are looking for."
