China: Fresh cutting flower greenhouse starts transplanting in Yun Nan

On 20th July, a new glass greenhouse for fresh cut-flowers started transplanting work in Kai Yuan, China.

This greenhouse construction area consists of 11520 square meters. This glass greenhouse has been built with a typical Venlo greenhouse structure, with a 6m gutter height.

To make this high automation greenhouse grower friendly and crop friendly, it is using wet-pad and fan cooling systems, a roof ventilation system, an irrigation system, and a water re-use system.

Due to the climate in Kai Yuan, 3 types of screen systems have been used. The first layer above the beam for sunlight shading can prevent flowers burn by strong and direct sunlight. The second layer under the beam is for a thermal keep for a greenhouse, a high energy saving rate can help the greenhouse reduce energy loss during the heating season. The third layer screen system is fixed on the sidewall of the greenhouse, it is used not only for sunlight shading but also can prevent energy loss of greenhouse.

With these screen systems, the greenhouse can keep a stable and optimized indoor climate by flexible control of each screen or other systems.

Flexible control of the greenhouse doesn’t mean complex management. Auto control systems linked these systems in one program, which makes it convenient to control indoor climate.
