Poland: Due to demand, the Gardenia fair is adding floriculture events for the first time

“There was a huge demand for an event with gardening, floristry and decorations combined,” says the team of Gardenia, an international garden and landscape fair located in Poznań, Poland. “Therefore, we took steps to bring the events together, and market analysis has shown that it will bring the most benefits for both exhibitors and visitors.” This year’s Gardenia fair, which is the country’s largest indoor exhibition, will be held on November 4-6, 2021.

Water management
The final program is still being created, but Gardenia can already reveal that they will focus heavily on the topic of water management. “There will be workshops showing how to choose and maintain plants in the garden that save water, and there will even be tips on how to cooperate with insects. Along with the educational program we will host a floral contest, floral shows and workshops." The final program will be available soon at www.targigardenia.pl/en

Who can enjoy the fair?
“The fair will be a three-day event. The first two days will mainly be focused on the professional attendees, such as the breeders, florists, designers and gardeners. These days will also be interesting for equipment manufacturers, landscape designers and tree nurseries. The third day will be for a wider public, so consumers will be able to enjoy the fair as well. Families can bring their children, as we will organize lots of activities for them as well.”

Join online
The team at Gardenia explains that this year’s fair was a bit more challenging to organize, due to the pandemic. “There are restrictions to take into consideration and we are slightly fearful of a possible next lockdown in the country. But we are managing to make it work and it is a great opportunity for people to meet again. We have already noticed a very positive response from the exhibitors, of which we already have about a hundred companies exhibiting. And to make things even more accessible, we are also preparing an online version of the event. When you buy a ticket for Gardenia, you can either come visit in Poznań or you can attend the fair online. This might be a challenging year to organize an international fair, but we are positive that we will organize a great weekend for everyone interested in floriculture and gardening.”
