"Measuring what you wash offers greater hygiene assurance"

Every company knows hygiene is crucial. And that you need to wash your goods regularly. Whether it be pots, trays, floats, or crates, bacteria, viruses, or fungi can contaminate anything.

So you have to clean well, but how do you do that? That is exactly the question to which Industrial Product Solutions has responded. "It's an important topic. The uncertainty about how to wash and what the results are, makes it so," says Gert-Jan Mulder.

The company previously launched a cleaning machine concept. It measures and gives insight into washing results. They have now added new management software to that. This additional tool lets you manage and control your washing process.

Contamination
Viruses, fungi, and bacteria are a nightmare for growers. More so now than before. Contamination could lead to crop failures and problems. But, how and where does the contamination originate? That often remains the question.

Sterilizing growing media is one of the tools farmers use to guard against contamination. Industrial Product Solutions adds an extra function to the cleaning process. You can measure and check whether the result is hygienically clean. That is perhaps even more important.

Their system uses an ATP test based on light values. It measures the level of contamination on trays, floats, crates, and pots. Once these items have been washed, the levels are checked again. "You have to know those results. Then you can build and adjust the washing process to truly disinfect your farming media."

So, each grower gets the cleaning line that suits them. Random tests are then done to continually check and record results. This is vital for the farmer's quality process.

The management software ensures you can take clear, traceable readings during the washing process. "Should problems arise during cultivation, growers can trace that back," Gert-Jan says. "They can see in which batch the problem occurred. And they can adjust the washing process if necessary."

"You can see the conditions under which the wares were washed - at what temperature, how vigorously, and using what washing agent. That offers more certainty about the washing process," Gert-Jan concludes.
