"This Iberflora 2021 edition marked by the increase in foreign visitors"

Iberflora has presented the official data of its 50th edition, which saw the return to the face-to-face format in which 24% of foreign exhibiting companies were present, 5% more compared to the last face-to-face edition of 2019. The total number of exhibitors at Iberflora 2021 was 386, which occupied an exhibition area of 13.096 m2.

"Seeing how many visitors there were, we can affirm that people wanted to feel the new trends in the sector in person. We saw 12.000 visitors, almost 2.000 more than in the edition of 2019. By sector, over 50% of visitors came from gardening-landscaping-organisms companies and from garden centers or nurseries. The role of the florist sector (7%) and the agro-shop (6%) is also worth mentioning," the Iberflora team stated.

As for country of origin, Portugal leads the list with 31%, followed by France (19,6%), the Netherlands (14,6%), and Italy (9,1%). There was also an increase in visitors from Belgium (5,3%) and the Czech Republic entered the Top 10 (1,2%) along with countries like Germany (2,9%), Denmark (2,6%), the UK (1,2%), and Morocco (1,1%).

Within the 10,9% remaining, there were visitors from multiple backgrounds, such as Andorra, Antilles, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Bahrain, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Slovakia, USA, Finland, Gibraltar, Greece, Honduras, Iraq, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Poland, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

Extended visits
Many of the foreign buyers extended their visiting days, and one could see that during the days of the fair in the Iberflora Business Club Business Center, where commercial meetings took place every day of the contest.

The next edition of Iberflora will be held from 4 to 6 October of 2022, this time in a joint call with the fairs Eurobrico, Ecofira, and Efiaqua. The forecasts are more than positive, and Iberflora will once again become the home of the entire Green Sector.
