In western China, the climate is arid or semi-arid, with big temperature differences between day and night. Traditionally, it has always been a scarcely inhabited region because of the lack of water and food. However, with the rapid development of the greenhouse industry, professional growers now see opportunities in this region. After all, efficient greenhouse technology can solve the problem of water shortage. In 2020, Kingpeng built a greenhouse for the production of potted flowers in He Zheng, in the Gansu Province. The facility is 3 hectares, with a 0.2-hectare service area and a 2.8-hectare cultivation area. Inside the greenhouse, an automatic net bench system had been designed that aims to save land and labor.
Flowers will grow up and boom in the growing area without manual operation until they are ready for sale. Benches will move automatically from the growing area to the service area to be packed by workers.
