Vitro Plus is building a new facility in Burgh-Haamstede, the Netherlands, doubling their current cultivation surface area. And there is even more work in progress. On the other side of their village, they are building an in 'inspiring place' that soon will be revealed to their customers, the public and all other fern fans.
New building
The construction of their new building is really progressing now. "A lot of work has already been done. The foundation has been poured and the first parts of the steel structure are being placed. The next couple of weeks this and the assembly of the façade, roof and floorboards will form the building. Within a month we will have a rough construction of our new warehouse. After that we will continue inside with the floorboards, walls, frames, rolling doors, water, electricity etcetera." The completion of the building is planned for summer 2022.
Refrigerated container
Two weeks ago another external refrigerated container was placed on their property to temporarily accommodate their capacity. At the moment Vitro Plus has got two refrigerated containers in total and they will remain in place until mid-July.
Cedar House Ferns
In the village where Vitro Plus is based, they are working very hard to build a perennial ferns inspiration center at another beautiful location.
