Upcoming webinar: root rots – what you can’t see can hurt you

Its a busy time in the greenhouse, but the next topic is timely. Rot rots like Fusarium, Pythium and black root rot are often the banes of spring bedding crops. Dr. Mary Hausbeck, a Professor from Michigan State University, is going to share her vast knowledge on this topic, including which fungicides work best. The topic
Root rots often sneak up in the spring, but can affect any crop in the greenhouse. An overall Integrated Disease Management (IDM) program is the key to keeping things clean. Our hosts will walk us through some of their research in this area for a successful growing year.

The speaker
Dr. Mary Hausbeck is a Michigan State University distinguished professor and Extension Specialist in plant pathology with responsibilities in research and extension. Crop assignment includes vegetables and greenhouse ornamentals. Her current research emphasis is the management of Botrytis and downy mildews of greenhouse ornamentals.
