New genetics in Dianthus is shown by Dümmen Orange in Colombia during Dianthus Week 2022

Dümmen Orange, the world leader in the breeding and development of cut flowers, tropicals, pot plants among others, celebrates the success of the Carnation Open House in Colombia during Dianthus Week 2022. In this event, producers, importers, and supermarkets learned about the latest in genetic advances of Carnation Standard, Mini, Dianthus Barbatus, Statice, and Limonium.

With more than 230 attendees, Dümmen Orange received multiple Dianthus producing and importing companies, as well as local media from March 7 to 11, highlighting varieties such as Bello, Winston, and Sarah+ in the Standard category and Whisper and Zoagli in the Mini Carnation category. These varieties stood out thanks to their excellent productivity, intense color that does not fade, and excellent vase life.

The Barberatus family with its wide range of colors, unique in the market, has generated great interest from the public as they are ideal varieties for complementing bouquets, and for producers, due to their high quality and size.

The breeder hopes to continue demonstrating the strength and quality of its genetics in all its cut flower products at its upcoming events and to continue growing new and better varieties of the Carnation family for Dianthus Week in 2023.
