Commercial Director at Bom Group John Meijer will take early retirement effective June 30. John has worked for more than 37 years, the last five of which have been with Bom Group.
Thanks in part to John's efforts in the areas of marketing and sales, Bom Group has grown over the past few years from a small, innovative greenhouse construction company with a great deal of knowledge to a large, visible and innovative company which implements greenhouse construction projects with its clients, and for its clients. The steps that the organization has been able to make in recent years are certainly a team effort, but are also absolutely connected with the commitment and physical visibility of John in many places in the world. From the propagation of the intention and desire for cooperation, relationships with various parties have been created and partly from this line of thought, the cooperation of Atrium Agri has also been created.
"We've been through a lot and done some really great things. Bom Group is a great company with fantastic passionate colleagues. I am grateful to have been a part of that and to have helped build a company that is now known all over the world! A team that is ready for the future! A new phase is beginning and that requires different insights. I will miss my colleagues dearly, but will now really make time for my wife and together we will enjoy all the things that are important to us," says John.
In the coming months, we will be working towards a farewell. John's last "public appearance" for Bom Group will be at the GreenTech in Amsterdam from 14 to 16 June.
The activities and responsibilities will be taken over by Rob de Wit (Commercial Manager), Ruben Kalkman (Marketing & Communication), and Mike Vermeij (CEO).
