The newly built rose greenhouse in the flower planting base of Xiaomi Village, Yiche Town, Yunnan Province was put into use for the first time.
In the greenhouse, the steps of digging the ground, managing moisture, arranging the dripper, planting rose seedlings, and watering were carried out in an orderly manner. The base uses 1 hectare of the greenhouse to cultivate two varieties of roses, Chocolate Bubble and Orange Barbie. The large-ridge and double-row cultivation technique is adopted. After the planting is completed, the sprinkler irrigation facility at the top of the greenhouse starts the sprinkler operation, combined with drip irrigation to supply water and fertilizer on-demand, and under the careful management and protection of the workers, to ensure the good growth of roses.
Yiche Town has invested 5 million RMB in the interregional cooperation funds to implement the supporting infrastructure construction project of the flower industry base in Xiaomi Village, building a new steel frame greenhouse base of 1.2 hectares, of which 1 hectare is used for rose cultivation and 0.2 hectares are used for bonsai cultivation. With packaging workshop, drying room (including drying equipment), cold storage (including refrigerator), building a new irrigation reservoir of 1,300 cubic meters and 1 set of power distribution equipment, building and optimizing irrigation pipe network facilities, and implementing road hardening 1.2 kilometers in the base.
Flower planting in the greenhouse can effectively resist natural disasters such as drought, frost, and hail. The greenhouse is protected from cold and heat, and the irrigation system is more scientific, combined with refined and professional management and protection, which can prolong the growth period of flowers, improve quality, stabilize and increase production.
