IFPA industry pulse check reveals:

US: "Bouquets performed extremely well during this year's Easter"

The International Fresh Produce Association has shared the results of the just-passed Easter, and it seems as if it was quite a successful one. "92% of retailers indicated bouquets performed extremely well during the Easter 2022 Holiday," they say. "62% of retailers expressed that traffic was up compared to last year."

Some mixed results
While bouquets were the most sought-after item, the same cannot be said for potted plants. Indeed, retailers reported mixed results for potted plants and arrangements, with 31% of retailers indicating the categories did not perform as well as expected.

Concerns
While floral sales met or exceeded expectations during Easter 2022, retailers were challenged by increasing costs of product and supply chain issues. "92% of retailers agreed that the cost of the product was a challenge this year," they point out.

IFPA conducted an industry pulse check to find out retail sentiment around the Easter 2022 Holiday. The survey found that most retailers indicated the 2022 Easter Holiday was a success, exceeding their expectations.
