Rock that flower crown

We are thrilled to have been invited to be the headline supporter of the Bloom Theatre at this year’s RHS Malvern Spring Festival. A team of Flowers from the Farm growers and florists from across the region will be on hand and on stage to share the beauty of local, seasonal British cut flowers with visitors. Join us there on 5th-8th May to kick-start show season!

Malvern is a favorite amongst flower-lovers and not least for our Co-Chair Meg Edmonds of Roots Family Farm Shop, which is based in Rushwick, less than 10 miles from the Three Counties Showground. “Having farmed against the backdrop of the Malvern Hills for about 20 years,” says Meg, “it is so exciting to be involved in the RHS Malvern Spring Festival alongside fellow Flowers from the Farm members. It’s a show I’ve always loved, and we are really looking forward to sharing our passion for truly seasonal flowers and foliage and to inspiring flower-lovers to seek out their local cut flower growers wherever they are in the UK.”

On stage
Florists and flower farmers will be showcasing their creative design expertise on the Bloom Theatre Stage across all 4 days of the show. Leading the pack will be Malvern’s first Bloom Ambassador and member of Flowers from the Farm, Fiona Haser-Bizony of Electric Daisy Flower Farm, along with our friend in floristry, Jonathan Moseley.

“I am proud to be the first Bloom Ambassador for the RHS Malvern Spring Festival,” says Fiona. “The Bloom Theatre is providing a platform for British cut flower growers and florists using sustainable practices to demonstrate the beauty and breadth that our wonderful land can provide. I’m so pleased to be a part of this new feature. Hopefully, visitors will be compelled to make different choices when selecting a birthday bouquet or thank you posy. Our flowers simply do not have to cost the earth.”

Also treading the boards alongside the super-local Meg Edmonds will be Hannah Walker of Bride and Bloom in Worcester, Kim Fleming of Marlston Farmgirl, Carole Patilla of Tuckshop Flowers, and Justine Scouller of Far Hill Flowers.

Rocking the flower crown
We’re partial to a flower crown here at Flowers from the Farm, and this year’s RHS Malvern Spring Festival will be channeling the festival spirit with flower crowns galore in the Bloom Theatre. Known affectionately as Queen of the Flower Crown in floristry circles for the spectacular floral headdresses she has crafted over the years, Fiona will be creating an oversized flower crown installation. Donning flower crowns for the duration in the Bloom Theatre will be the 24 Flowers from the Farm ambassadors as they talk flowers with Malvern visitors.
