Arrested for picking flowers? Cape Town man busted for ‘serious offence’

The South African National Parks (SANParks) has finally nipped an elusive issue in the bud when a flower picker was arrested on Thursday in Cape Town.

According to SANParks officials, a male suspect was apprehended on the mountains near Jonkersdam, Red Hill. What we could assume was just a simple walk through the wilderness to pick flowers was actually the workings of a thorn in the side of local rangers.

Rangers from the southern section of the Table Mountain National Park responded to a tip-off about the suspect.

The rangers had been on the ongoing hunt for their elusive flower picker for a while and were grateful for the tip-off. The SANParks encouraged further assistance to help pluck further weeds from society.
