The Taiwan International Orchid Show (TIOS) is an orchid trade exhibition. This year, the show was held again from March 26 to April 5, 2022. The theme was "The Fantasy World of Orchids."
In addition to the beautiful themed landscape on the show grounds, there were several major highlights, as can be seen below.
(1) Variety Fashion Show
For the first time, a fashion show was held in conjunction with the Taiwan International Orchid Show. Through the skillful hands of the master designers, different types of Taiwanese orchids were combined with body decoration, showcasing the orchids' multi-layered structure.
(2) Virtual Taiwan International Orchid Show
Different from the previous years, we adopted a digital transformation this year. All the exhibition halls were filmed in a 3-D fashion to establish a beautiful orchid world online. More information here.
(3) 360-degree orchid photography
To fully present the beauty of orchids at the Show, orchids were filmed in a 3-D fashion. You just enter the Virtual Taiwan International Orchid Show, choose a beautiful orchid, and click on the information link. Then, you can enjoy the orchids in a 360-degree rotation, zooming in and out, as well as reading the detailed information for each.
4. Overseas Online Judging
For the first time, the show adopted an online voting platform, enabling overseas judges who were unable to attend in person to join the event. The overseas judges were able to view the 360-degree orchid photographs and vote for the Best Popular Award online.
