On May 12, 2022, the winners of Deloitte's Best Managed Companies program were announced. Desch Plantpak is one of the winners and one of the best managed companies in the Netherlands.
Deloitte assesses the strategy, operations, and culture, the degree of innovation, and the financial results of the participating companies. This year, for the first time, participating companies were also evaluated on the extent to which sustainability was incorporated into their business operations.
Jan Willem Wieringa, CEO of Desch Plantpak: “We are obviously extremely proud and consider this a pat on the back of all our employees. The last two years have been intense; corona, raw material availability issues, an enormous cost increase in raw material, energy, etc. We are investing in faster and more energy-efficient machines; two machines have been added in April and May. Again, we are proud but also realistic; there is always room for improvement to become even better in the future.”
