It rolls through the greenhouses, is equipped with airconditioning, an mp4 radio, and a novel articulation system enabling it to rotate in tight spaces. And more important: it helps growers protect their crops grown under plastic while protecting the operator of the machine. We're talking about the Tizona Zeus, a new greenhouse machine designed by the Spanish company Carretillas Amate.
The company's most well-known products are in the Tizona range, which consists of spraying equipment specially designed for the intensive application of phytosanitary products, leaf fertilizer, etc., inside and outside a crop field, greenhouses, nets, shade houses, and multi tunnels. "For all types of fruit and vegetables," Juan Hernandez Sanchez with Carretillas Amate says. Depending on the crops and the grounds, it has different tires for work, enabling it to work both on sandy crops and those covered by plastic without damaging the cover."
The newest addition to the product range is the Tizona Zeus, a machine designed to protect crops under plastic. The Tizona was launched recently at a show in Almeria, Spain, where the company obviously tested the machine in many greenhouses.
Juan shows how in the design of the machine, they focused on the operator, ensuring to protect him from chemical crop protection. "Tizona Zeus can be configured in different ways with different accessories such as an atomizer with nozzles, as many as the customer needs, vertical bars, or pruning collection rakes."
"Zeus has a 25 hp Kubota engine", Juan continues, adding that the machine is designed to operate even in the smallest spaces of the greenhouse. "It has a special articulation system, making it able to rotate in tight spaces."
