KP Holland Innovation Lab opened by chairwoman VNO-NCW Ingrid Thijssen

This week, Ingrid Thijssen, chairperson of VNO-NCW, officially opened the new Innovation Lab of KP Holland. This laboratory brings the application of molecular breeding techniques within reach and offers capacity expansion for research in, and propagation of, tissue culture starting material.

The laboratory was opened with the cutting of a symbolic DNA strand. The opening was also enhanced by the presentation of a new white Curcuma, an exclusive seasonal flowering plant with bright white lotus flowers in the Siam series named Siam Sisto.

"With the inauguration of our new Innovation Lab, we intensify the research, development, and propagation of our product range to meet the growing demand of our customers worldwide. With this step, we give substance to our strategy by growing in breeding and propagation of tissue culture starting material," says Managing Director Leo de Vries.

Ingrid Thijssen (chairman VNO-NCW) is given a tour by Steef van der Knaap and Leo de Vries in the Innovation Lab of KP Holland, which she opened.
