Thousands headed to the RHS Garden Harlow Carr Flower Show to mark the start of the flower show season

The sell-out, four-day show was a must-visit for all garden lovers, which brought more exhibitors to the beautiful 58-acre garden in Harrogate than in recent years. Those who were lucky enough to get a ticket discovered early summer blooms, tempting edibles, shrubs, bulbs, and rare and unusual perennials, as well as got valuable advice from experts and browsed a beautiful range of outdoor ornaments, gifts, and tools.

There were several exhibiting nurseries on display which included various RHS Chelsea 2022 gold medal winners such as Lancashire-based Brighter Blooms with a range of exotic calla lilies, whose Chelsea display also won the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award.
The Potting Shed talks by Martin Fish and Jonathan Moseley proved extremely popular, with a packed house at nearly every session throughout the four days.

Liz Thwaite, Head of Site at the RHS Harlow Carr Flower Show, said: “It was a brilliant four days of a sell-out show with the garden looking magnificent, and even a spot of rain here and there couldn’t dampen the spirits.

“It was great to see people back in such numbers after last year’s scaled-back show, and we’re now looking forward to a summer full of more exciting events, including our Summer Music Sundays, Walkies, and the Great Garden Adventure family holiday activities.”
