Mayer international team finally meats in person at event in Hungary

After more than two years of a Covid-forced break, the time finally came again last week and the Mayer quarterly meeting could take place in the usual way. For some of the 26 colleagues from the sales, service, and product management departments it was the first visit to the Mayer plant in Hungary, for others the last visit was some time ago due to travel restrictions. Reason enough for an intensive personal and professional exchange around the green industry.

The three multi-faceted days were introduced by a plant tour, which focused in particular on the expanded and modernized machinery in the area of thin sheet processing and the new powder coating line. At the same time, the colleagues were able to see for themselves the high value-added, cost efficiency, and quality orientation at the Kisfalud production site, which will ultimately benefit customers all over the world.

In the further course of the Mayer quarterly meeting, the focus was on an intensive exchange on the current challenges of the green industry. Based on feedback from the market, the management-, sales-, service-, product management- and design departments discussed practical approaches to solutions to be able to support customers even better in the areas of shortage of skilled workers, internal logistics, climate change, and digitalization. Some of the solutions that emerged from the discussion are already being implemented. You can look forward to news from Mayer by the 4th quarter of 2022.

Of course, extensive machine and service training also took place. The focus was on machine combinations, which are increasingly in demand worldwide and represent the core of Mayer’s product strategy. One highlight was the new TM 2432E in combination with the RM 2120 spreader and the WT 8100 irrigation tunnel. But also conveyor belts and pot robots as well as the further development of classic machines like the TM 1010F were intensively discussed. Here, it was possible to generate real added value for future adaptations and new developments, especially through the exchange between service and design.

The three intensive days were accompanied by the marketing department, which together with service staff recorded new videos on the adjustment of the machines and pot magazines. These will be published in the coming weeks.

Through the lively exchange of ideas and improvement approaches, Mayer looks back on a successful Horticulture Meeting 2022. To stay up to date on all things Mayer Planting Systems, follow on social media channels and subscribe newsletter.
