Hundreds of thousands of azaleas flood Flanders for charity

FlorAmor is one of the hundreds of volunteer teams participating in Plant Weekend. It is being held in Belgium from today until Sunday. They are selling azaleas to raise money for the fight against cancer. FlorAmor's Christoph Stevens says they are currently "packing a few hundred thousand azaleas."

Earlier this week, Belgium's Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, bought one of these. "This is a wonderful marketing campaign for ornamental plant cultivation and azaleas," he says.
