The IV edition of ExpoPlantas, organized by the Colombian Association of Nurseries and Ornamental Growers - Colviveros, is taking place from October 19th to 21st in the country’s “garden city,” Fusagasugá. With around 80 exhibitors, including Dutch companies, the event is Colviveros’ wager to professionalize the sector. The LAN team participated in the opening ceremony of the event.

ExpoPlantas is the professional commercial platform for nurseries and ornamental growers where supply and demand for living and ornamental plants meet. At the event, participants can witness the latest innovations in plant material, inputs, and services and technological and logistics developments for the value chain. ExpoPlantas focuses on the needs of nurseries and ornamental growers to strengthen producers’ capacities related to formalization, productivity, logistics, and commercialization and, thus, to professionalize nurseries in Colombia.
A pavilion of 3,000 square meters offers around 80 exhibition booths for exhibitors and participants of the IV edition of ExpoPlantas. Therein, anthuriums, bromeliads, calla lilies, orchids, and poinsettias, among other perennial plants, are showcased. The Dutch industry is represented by: Anthura, Dümmen Orange, Jiffy Group, Schoneveld Breeding, and Semper Green. The LAN team participated in the opening ceremony of the event and visited the trade fair of this growing industry that offers jobs to 35,000 Colombian families.
