DV’s Bob Wilkins and bride Karla tie the knot in Portland, ME

On Saturday, September 24th, DV’s 2nd generation co-owner Bob Wilkins tied the knot with his bride Karla. The ceremony was an intimate gathering of close family and friends at the Portland Harbor Hotel in Portland, ME. The nautical vibe could be sensed throughout the day, from the attire to the spread, and of course, the flowers did not disappoint either.

Local event designer, Courtney Pino of Abby Garden (@abbygardenfloral), executed everything perfectly. She worked closely with DV sales associate Susan Taylor for the floral needs, which were sourced from around the world, including Holland, California, Colombia, and Ecuador. Her beautiful designs were displayed throughout the hotel, from the large flower arch welcoming guests to the courtyard to the dazzling display of hanging delphinium to a lovely decorated fountain that doubled as a backdrop to the ceremony and all of the amazing details in between.

Another interesting floral note is that Karla and her bridesmaid’s bouquets each contained precious stems of muscari and lily of the valley. Both are Karla’s favorite springtime flowers.
