Breeder Dümmen Orange, in collaboration with their trusted propagator JD Propagation, built a magnificent garden at the 2022 Australian Horticultural Trials Week in Pearcedale town in Victoria. It was the first time that Dümmen Orange participated in the AHTW. The purpose-built garden was filled with a rich variety of annuals, perennials, and pot plants that are now ready for release in Australia.
The 2022 Australian Horticultural Trials Week was held between 6 – 9 December. The event organizer, the Nursery & Garden Industry Victoria (NGIV), focused on the most recent developments in bedding plants. Various types of indoor and outdoor bedding plants and containers were presented at various locations over the trial week. All horticultural industry players in Australia and abroad were able to see the new lines at this significant event in the Australian horticultural calendar.
"It was brilliant to see everyone out and about again during the Australia Horticultural Trials," said Matthew Curtis, Business Development Manager Australia & New Zealand. "Thank you to all the growers and retailers for visiting and supporting the Dümmen Orange genetics at JD Propagation. Our Lavender La Diva series was a huge hit, along with the Argyranthemums, Pelargoniums, Bidens, Osteospermums, Petunias, Coleus, Anthuriums, and Calibrachoas."
The trials at JD Propagation included excellent bedding plants from Dümmen Orange, such as Anthurium, Coleus, Calibrachoa, Petunia, Pelargonium, Lavender, and many more.
Australian Horticulture Week offers an excellent platform for farmers and retailers to learn about plant breeding, associated products, and novel technology, as well as to keep abreast of the most recent industry trends and worldwide horticultural trends more broadly.
