Ronald has been working in the flower industry for 41 years and is currently our specialist who is always looking for novelties (new products) in the market. Over the years, he has gained immense knowledge of all the special, different types of flowers.
Ronald: "I have been purchasing seasonal flowers for years, and so in the cold part of the year, there are lots of branches and blossoms among them. These are grown both indoors and outdoors, but several species grow in the wild."
Do you have any tips while buying our branches?
'Keep in mind that all flowers are still closed when purchased. The branches do not bloom until they reach the customer. So keep this in mind to order them on time if you need branches that will bloom.' It is also highly recommended to use floral food for Syringa and other branches to enjoy them even longer. Another tip for buying Syringa is to take into account that the number of flowers per branch varies. This is visible in the webshop.'
What about sustainability?
Many of the branch species are grown outdoors. Nature does its job, so no pesticides need to be applied.'
