Peat substitutes and fermentation residues on display at IPM

The Julius Kühn Institute will show five ongoing projects on peat substitutes in horticulture at IPM 2023 in Essen. Among the exhibits awaiting visitors are stinging nettles. Fermentation residues and peat-free substrates will be on display as well.

Peat reduction is the main topic at the booth, which is located in the center of the so-called Galeria. The JKI is traditionally a co-exhibitor of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture at this international trade fair for horticultural practice, which is being held again for the first time after the Corona break. Meet our researchers from the Institute of Plant Protection in Horticulture and Urban Green and the Institute of Application Techniques in Plant Protection at the booth.
