Co-owner of GoldenSun Insights, Randy Riley, will be the keynote speaker for the “General Session” discussion at the 62nd American Seed Trade Association: Vegetable and Flower Seed Conference, taking place January 27-31 in Orlando, Fl. Riley will examine the topics of order fulfillment and industry consolidation and how these concepts are affecting the seed industry today. Following the keynote will be an open discussion with industry fellows, led by Riley, highlighting the future implications.
“Fulfillment and consolidation are concepts we need to keep a pulse on,” says Riley. “In our industry, it is crucial to understand the relationship between industry consolidation and fulfillment center expansions. It is important for leaders in this space to remain up-to-date on these topics, and I am looking forward to hearing from our industry and guiding a healthy group discussion.”
As retail consolidation continues, the total number of potential buyers in the market is lessened, thus leading to a major shift in buying power across the industry, with the power being in the hands of the large few. Alongside this, the strength of the retail sector has led to innovations in fulfillment and autonomous delivery methods. In this interactive presentation, Riley will be going in-depth on the importance of how these two notions work together and what that means for the future of the industry.
Riley’s discussion will be held on Monday, January 30, from 8:00-10:30 am EST at the 62nd American Seed Trade Association: Vegetable and Flower Seed Conference in Orlando, Florida.
