The flower production, which started with 3 greenhouses in 2015 in the Koycegiz Beyobasi district of Mugla, has increased to 30 greenhouses and 60 growers in 2022, while 1.25 million stems of flowers were produced in 2022. In the greenhouses where summer and winter flowers are produced, 350,000 stems of flowers were produced in the winter season in 2022, and 900,000 stems of flowers in the summer season. With the project implemented in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and Koycegiz Beyobasi Agricultural Development Cooperative, approximately 25 million flowers have been produced to date since its inception.
A purchase guarantee has been given to the growers to encourage production and ensure a market for the products, and special emphasis is placed on women growers. The majority of the growers in these 60 greenhouses are women, and the flowers produced in Mugla with the labor of women are adorned not only in Mugla but also in different provinces and districts. Flowers produced by Mugla are sent to Isparta, Afyon, Aydin, Denizli, Antalya, and Burdur district municipalities and institutions.
