Vietnamese growers look for irrigation and water solutions during HortEx 2023

In Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, the HortEx tradeshow has come to an end. During the show, growers looked for answers to the challenges they are dealing with these days, for which greenhouse techniques can be a solution.

Vietnam has a rich history of horticulture and agriculture, and thanks to the economic growth and export potential, these industries are rapidly developing. However, there are also many challenges for the growers. Greenhouse structures protect the crops from weather circumstances, and growing hydroponically helps growers to use less water, which is a need since the Mekong Delta deals with pollution and salinization.

Flower breeders were present at the event to show their new varieties. Vietnam has a rich floricultural history, a favorable climate to grow the most beautiful crops, and offers great export potential, which is why many suppliers are looking to export their varieties to Vietnam. Especially the Da Lat region is well-known for its horticultural and floricultural activities, but up north, there are also opportunities to grow.

Next Monday, March 6, we'll provide you with a full photo report of the HortEx Vietnam 2023.
